Girikula

Girikula is a sinhala teledrama telecasted on ITN. It is a teledrama based on the novel Girikula written by Shanthi Dissanayake. The teledrama is directed by renowned director Sudath Rohana. And produced by Fahim Mawjood. The story of a striving woman called Muthumanika who is keen on brushing off the hassles on her daughter’s life and make her live a comfortable life while being a single mother regardless what she has encountered in her life.

This is a teledrama which address a specific audience and astrive to direct the ordinary audience to a new angle of Art. It showcase the qualitative artistic thinking of Sri Lankan entertaining industry. An attempt to plant a seed of unique creation which direct the audience to encounter outlandish vibe.

Kanchana Mendis, Janak Premalal,Nilmini Tennakon, Sriyani Amarasena, Niroshn Wijesinghe, W. Jayasiri, Lal Kularatne, Gayana Sudarshani, Saman Hearatne, Jagath Chamila, Chintaka Kulathunga, Uddika Premaratmne, Richard Manmudali, Awanthi Aponsu, Priyankara athnayake, Sanath Wimalasiri doll up the plot as the main cast.
