Hithuwakkara

Story

The plot follows the Bandaranayakas, a wealthy family who are multimillionaires and possess various companies. The story's protagonists are Sisiliya Bandaranayaka, the Bandaranayaka group's chairperson, and her grandson, Rukmal Bandaranayaka. Sisiliya Bandaranayaka is a mother of three children and a widow. Sisiliya is strolling from her house's terrace when her daughter-in-law Kusala approaches her and inquires as to why she is alone when everyone has gathered to wish her a good birthday. Sisiliya's son, Senaka, arrives at the same time to encourage his mother to come downstairs because everyone is expecting Sisiliya to cut her birthday cake. Sisilya refuses, stating that she would not arrive until Ruki arrives.

The scene changes to an accident in which an elderly lady was struck by a three-wheeler. Ruki happened to be passing by the accident site at the time. The old lady was then taken to the hospital for treatment. Finally, Ruki arrived at the birthday celebration, and the cake was cut. The action switched to a telephone conversation between a henchman named Lovely and the Lovely's leader, Thalaivar. Lovely was being threatened by Thalaivar to accomplish the assignment he had assigned to him because he was taking so long. Lovely was enraged and scolded his minions to snatch immediately the two girls that Thalaivar had requested, but learns the reason that his gang was backing up this operation since the two girls were Rukmal's pals.

However he forced his henchmen to execute the operation. The story switched to a scene when Rukmal and his pals were at an art exhibition, conversing in the cafeteria. Rukamal was immediately drawn to a lovely lady who was passing by with her pal at the time. They take a seat at the adjacent table, where Rukmal can see her plainly. Rukmal and his friends tricked the girl into dropping her ice cream on Rukmal's shirt as she went to get some ice cream. Rukmal then turns around and scolds her, pretending to be upset, and orders her to wipe it off the ice cream she dropped.
