Pitagamkarayo

Pitagamkarayo is a teledrama telecasted in ITN based on the novel Pitagamkarayo which was written by Tissa Abeysekara. A story which illustrate the grandeur of the past and the simplicity of the Sri Lankans. It showcase the qualitative artistic thinking of Sri Lankan entertaining industry. An attempt to plant a seed of unique creation which direct the audience to encounter outlandish vibe. This is a perfect plot to acknowledge the diversity of life style in the past.

Tissa Abeysekara was the both director and the script writer whereas Malini Fonseka, Jackson Anthony, Sabeetha Perera , Gothami Pathiraja , Daya Alwis, G.R.Perera, Asoka Peiris , Ranjan Ramanayaka ,Palitha Silva , Weena Jayakody, Yashoda Wimaladharma doll up as the main cast and present a whole new level acting to the audience. In 1997 Sumathi Awards Malini Fonseka has won the best teledrama actress, Jackson Anthony has won the award as the best teledrama actor and Tissa Abeysekara has won the award for best script for the teledrama Pitagamkarayo.
