A one of the greatest teledrama broadcasted by Jathika Rupavahini is the Ranagala Walawwa. Chandana Dharmapriya has directed this drama while an association made by foreign SriLankans produced it.

This teledrama is about a love story between a rich boy and a poor girl who lives in a village. Though they intensely love each other, social status, cast and wealth are obstacles to their love. Though everyone wishes for their separation, the strong bond which they had with each other gets strong secretly. But the numerous problems raised by the family and the society limit their feelings.
