Swayanjatha

Swayanjatha was a teledrama which was aired in ITN. It was directed by Sudath Rohana and the producers were H.D.Premasiri, Bandula Ekanayake, Channa Fernando, and Bandara Ahaliyagoda. The script was written by Sarath Darmasiri. The teledrama is based on the novel Swayanjatha by Samaraweera Wijesinghe which has won the Golden Book Award of the Sri Lanka Book Publishers 2008. A story depicts the transitional era in the history of Sri Lanka where British governed. This teledrama narrates a story takes place in a rural village.

It depicts the falling part of the core moral of the marriage, due to the unfaithfulness and the hazards going through. A touch of Westernization and Christian faith painted in the teledrama illustrate the bygone Sri Lanka. Deepthi Mangalasoma has won the award for Best art director and Jagath Chamila has won Best Actor for Swayanjatha in the year of 2011.Jagath Chamila, Chaturika Peiris, Palitha Silva, and Semini Iddamalgoda, Janak Premalal, Damitha Abeyrathne, Sriyani Amarasena, Roshan Pilapitiya, Hemasiri Liyanage, Sathishchandra Edirisinghe, Prageeth Rathnayake, Anuruddika Padukkage, Ferini Roshini, Shriyani Mahawatta, Thamali Nadeesha, Tony Ranasinghe, and Senanayake Weraliyadda has dolled up as the main cast.
